My love is 36!!

He is climbing the ladder of age slowly but surely. He is gaining wisdom and strength in many different areas. One fact will be true FOREVER... My Rodd is 36 and will always be WAY older then me. He had to work today so our family met him for lunch at Roundtable Pizza. I have never understood why this is by far his favorite pizza joint but who cares, his birthday means his choice in food. We brought him a cupcake with a candle and sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY. The kids loved the idea..


Okay, seriously WHY do the birthday people always seem so bummed? ;) you CAN smile or is another year older just a hard concept to grab?


we all gave him our gifts and one cannot live without a Charger tie to wear to church on Sundays or tons of letters the girls drew on and wrote for this special occasion.


He chose to have a couple's dinner with his family to celebrate his old man status. We went to a Mexican food restaurant in Escondido called Anejo's.  We have added it to our list of new favorite date night places. It was a lot of fun and the food was spectacular. It was such a great way to end the evening and the day.


I am so thankful to have such a wonderful man in my life. We have had some major bumps on our road but as the road smooths out I start to realize how lucky we are to have one another on this journey. Rodd is the love of my life and has turned into a fine old man. Today was bitter sweet.. bitter because of the tragic events of 9/11 and sweet cause we get to celebrate the birth of a very special person. Happy Birthday to the man who is an answer to my prayers and a dream come true. I hope this day was as special for you as it was for me standing by your side.. WE LOVE YOU!!!
