We were able to give the boys all their awards they earned over the summer. Being in a leadership position and rushing kids out the door has made me be less aware and a lot more scattered brain. Of course sometimes I think the kids take advantage of my scattered brain moments. Like when Gabe shows up to a Pack meeting not in uniform because no one told him to change. Okay think fast Angel. What should my next comment be? Maybe I should respond by saying how many Pack Meetings have YOU been too? Maybe a Valley girl accent will get the point across. Like, every meeting has the same rule. Come in uniform like every month. Like you should totally sketch that into your brain and memory. Javier helped lead the flag ceremony by prompting the boys.
It is nice to know that he will always step up when needed or asked. Maybe we did something right with him. Hmmm :-) Still waiting for him to complete his eagle. Mr. D and I both lead the webelos so he got to hand those award out. It was a breeze since Gabe was the only Webelos to show to the meeting.
