Dante is 12..Can you believe it? He has gotten so big, my little man is growing up. Through out the month we would ask him "so what do you want for your birthday?" The great thing about Dante is that he appreciates anything and everything. He is just such a sweet spirit. Our family has recently started to enjoy bike rides together and we even broke down and I got my own purple bike, Yes purple think one of my boys will touch it. Well if you know Dante then you know he loves to bike ride. His bike is a hand me down from Javier and it has a broken pedal and the shifters stopped working. So one day he said "you know, it would be nice to get a new pedal and some shifters for my bike." He never once asked for a new bike. It was the sweetest thing. He didn't want the family to spend that much. He is so considerate of those around him. On his birthday he opened up his gift and he got exactly what he asked for. A pedal for his bike.
He was so excited. Mr D went to go get his tools and his bike so they could replace the pedal. We were talking and he was saying that he will save for a shifter. HEHEHE! In came Mr. D with a brand new bike with full suspension. I wish I had a photo to show his face of shock. He was pretty excited. We then loaded up the bikes and headed to have lunch and bike around Miramar lake. ( it's 5 miles..thought I would mention that because my legs really felt it)
Once home we had our traditional brownie cake and sang Happy Birthday to him.
you can see the smoke. That is a lot of candles..DANTE IS GETTING OLD..next year we will need a fire extinguisher near by.
