We start this holiday out at Bates nut farm. Where else do you go to get pumpkins and a million photos of kids trying to pick just the right one out?
They have an area filled with different animals. Some you can feed but most are there just to look at and enjoy.
Landon wasn't exactly sure what to make of all this commotion.
We couldn't resist the store and fudge they sell there..so good but very sweet.
The farm also had a hay ride..who could resist? Well most people could I will admit... I am a sucker..
When everyone got dressed up we had such a variety. From a devil to a fairy...it was such a large group but so funny to watch. We headed to our neighborhood clubhouse for a carnival celebration. according to Landon it was too boring to stay long..hehehe!
From there is was time for a family favorite....frozen yogurt!!!
Can't have Halloween without some carved pumpkins. It has been a very busy month so our time has been limited. The day of is just as good in my book..no judgments!
This one was Never finished. Gabe was not a happy camper when it came to his pumpkin. Sometimes designs work better in our head than in reality.
when the evening arrived it was trunk or treat time.. This is the highlight of everyone's night..best childhood memories have been from these events.. I remember them as a kid and Gabe has attended one every year since he was born. The kids get so much candy in such a small parking lot...but first there is a small carnival available to all.
Face painting was a favorite with the girls:
even Kenai the dog partakes in all the holiday fun.
We hang out all together and hand out candy to all the trunk or treaters..Let me just add that there are a lot of them.For little Elly it can be both overwhelming and exhausting.
Are we done yet? That is a valid question but sadly no the night is still young. We are headed over to Dzen's house for some dinner with the family
and more trick or treating with all the cousins and close friends.. Lets not forget to wish Evan Jr. a happy Birthday first!!!
