From there we stopped at Burger King to grab a bite to eat. Hey it was familiar and on the way to the metro. It was also very different. They had an employee handing out condiments and napkins. Only one napkin per person. It was two stories too..

Then we headed to Vina del Mar. It is a beach town that is pretty popular here in Chile. We were told that it has a port where the cruise ships pull in and it is always filled with tourists. We chose to hire a driver for the day to take us around and give us some information on some of the sights. Plus walking has become no fun. We hopped on a bus and away we went.

looking at us one would think we have never seen a beach before. Yet we were so excited to see this one.

We loved our tour guide Andres or Andrew in english. Javier and him joked around a lot. It was funny!

We had a dog that followed us all over the beach. I think he was hungry because he kept trying to eat Xandi.

We went to see one of the heads of Easter Island.

then we visited a very pretty garden in the middle of the city.

Now a museum, this home used to belong to a prominent family in the area. It is closed because it has some pretty bad damage from the earthquake.

Shakira sang here!

What an amazing view!

we were very high! so scary..

We arrived home a little early tonight but still exhausted. Closer to 10 rather then our usual midnight arrival. We had tons of time to talk to family and pack our bags and prepare for our flight home tomorrow night. Javier cooked us dinner in his mind but we all helped.. No he really did cook..

and then we said our prayers and called it a night. This has been a great adventure but I am ready to get back to my day to day life. One never realized how much they enjoy it until they leave it. :)
