Sunday Funday

Yes, that's what Sunday is, a fun day. We started the day off at church. Well started hmmm we had church at 1pm. I loved the talks today in sacrament meeting. They were on the restoration and were followed some pretty awesome testimonies. We had to listen to a letter from the church about the new law that just passed on same sex marriage. Love thy neighbor is what came to my mind. It's not for us to judge but we still gotta learn to stand strong in our beliefs within our own lives and our own walls of our home. I'm reading a Book called the 7 day Christian and its a real good Sunday read. I'm enjoying it.
In relief society we talked about the blessings of the temple and ways we can share that with our children. When Rodd got home he let me know that he found kitty in the back of the house sleeping on our bed. But notice that she has learned to stay on Rodd's side of the bed. She is not allowed on my side. Smart dog!

We joined the family later in the evening for a 4 mile hike. There was some complaining but they all got through it.
We connected with Oscar on the trail.

It's was way fun to have the family together laughing and enjoying each other's company. Elly had an itchy back. She is having some skin allergy break out and sometimes it comes in the form of welts or just itchy skin. She is definitely my little girl as she was begging me to scratch her back here.

It was a pretty good flat trail. We like to try something new and something we can all enjoy on Sunday's.

I love the views. They really get me thinking about my day and really help me to feel a little closer to heaven. Sometimes it's like we have our own heaven here. The views can be breath taking.

The walk continues on. Elly cracks me up she practically runs circles around everyone. We are always amazed at her high energy levels.

It was a fun day to remember and even better evening. We did a reflect and review as a family before bed. It was nice to hear Elly talk about how much she has enjoyed spending time with Gabe. It was nice to reflect on our day and set a goal or a charge to try and accomplish for the next day. Rodd stated how much he loves each of us but is feeling the change  of Dante not being here. It's kinda sad that we will have to get use to that feeling  as he is off on his own college and then mission adventures. But this week he is doing the AFY experience. Monday is a new day, and I can't wait.
